Customer Review: couldn't believe these would hold any weight --- but they did!

When I first saw this product, I hoped it would be perfect for me. I wanted something that I could put up in the kitchen, and use to hang up my apron. My husband and I rent an apartment, and the landlord wouldn't approve of us drilling into the wall to put up permanent fixtures.
I was a bit skeptical at first about this product when it arrived. The hooks were quite small, and the sticky pads weren't all that sticky. But I tried them anyways, and so far, (1 week later) haven't had any complaints. The hooks support the weight of my apron very easily.
The only thing I will say about this product (and this could be seen as both a good thing and a bad thing) is that the sticky pads come separately. This means that you have to peel off the backing, attach the pad to the hook, then peel off the other side and attach that to the wall. On the plus side, this means that if the pads should lose their stickiness you can always just stick on a new one and reuse --- on the other hand though, I found it a bit difficult to get the pads aligned onto the back of the hook (though I managed it eventually).
Overall though---good product.

I love these hooks! I set them up throughout my dorm apartment, and they have never once failed me. I can hang a bath towel (pretty heavy, I would say!) and hand towel onto one hook, and they will remain on it perfectly. I also use them to hang purses and totes, winter coats, belts, and a dry erase board. They have -never- "sunk" or loosened - all the hooks remain firmly in the position I set them up in (which, by the way, was a breeze!). I highly recommend these hooks and can't see why others didn't like them - maybe they messed up on adhering them to the wall? Or maybe they just tried to hang too much - every product does have its limit, after all. But, with proper use, these hooks sure have been a valuable addition to my apartment!Customer Review: Good....but could be better

I purchased this item to hang some pictures on my walls because I didn't want the mess of having hole all over my walls. The hooks work good as long as you don't live in a moist, humid environment. We put these up about a week ago and the other day, two of them failed, causing my pictures to smash to the ground. Needless to say, it was a moist day outside, and I think that's what contributed to the hooks failing. However, overall the hooks do the job....most of the time and are a great value and alternative to banging nails in walls.Customer Review: Great, when they work!

If you're using these for Christmas decorations, don't listen to the commercials - always buy the bigger ones because they do actually work. These smaller ones, although more compact, really cannot hold that much weight and you will have all your decorations come crashing to the ground. They're a great product, when they work, but if you read the label and buy accordingly, you'll be sorry. Just size up on these and you'll be fine. Learned that the hard way! Our indoor Christmas lights have all fallen to the floor. Evidently 3M hooks don't stick for long on textured walls, however I can find no warning about this on the product packaging or in the literature. Beware. Hopefully I will someday need this newly purchased pile of hooks for use on a smooth surface somewhere, but it certainly won't be on any of our walls as every last one of them is textured. Good product. Irresponsible marketing. We are not amused.
