3M Electrical Tapes are designed for a range of applications. Whatever your electrical needs, 3M can provide the right tape. This is a 7 mil general purpose, economical tape, which meets UL510 requirements. It is rated for temperatures up to 176 degrees Fahrenheit. Typical applications include protective jacketing and harnessing. On a 1-1/2 inch core, this black, 7 mil vinyl tape is a good quality, economical general purpose insulating tape. Its elastic backing ensures easy, moisture-tight conformation to irregular surfaces. 3M Tartan General Use Vinyl Electrical Insulating Tape 1710 offers good resistance to abrasion, moisture, alkalis, acid, copper corrosion and varying weather conditions (including ultraviolet).
