Stay away from the cheap imitators. They're closer to duct tape.
3M makes really good products, and their gaff tape is no exception. It holds firmly and then peels off smoothly and cleanly, even after being left for weeks. It tears easily. The roll doesn't collect too much dust and dirt during regular use.
This product is really worth the extra money.
