Customer Review: Functional, reasonably comfortable, inexpensive respirator

I've used this product while staining and finishing my most recent woodworking project - a large console. This project has required long hours in a closed workshop area with the oil-based stain and water-based finish fumes. I'm happy to report that the respirator works very well. While wearing it I detected no vapor odors and it was comfortable enough that I didn't feel the urge to take it off despite wearing it for many hours. Adjustability, putting it on, and removal are very easy. The only downside I can see at this point is that the mask seal is plastic and not power ventilated and so as the work area gets warmer (it's Feb right now) the mask may collect sweat or become too hot. But the prices for power models are multiple x's higher.Customer Review: Awesome - Perfect mask for cost!!

I needed something to 100% filter out dust. I have 4 cats and 2 large litter boxes with 28 pounds of litter each. When cleaned or changed the dust is just a huge cloud and the smell of urin can be extremely powerfully overwhelming!! BUT with this mask there is 100% absolutely NO smell and NO dust. The filters on this mask are perfect!! I almost bought one without the organic filter BUT so glad I did buy this one. I can go anywhere with this thing and it's like breathing pure fresh air! The medium size is perfect for the average face and seals nicely on the face. If you're looking for a good mask for the job be it painting, spraying or cleaning the cat litter box this is it! Its a nice fit on the face and comes off easily with the clip strap.
What I didnt know was that the particle filter goes over the organic filter. Thats fine, but would mean that you need to replace both at some point. for one of the filter it said something like replace after 40 hours of use or 30 days, whichever comes first.
other then that i have shopped around looked at the cost of filter replacements and this was one of the top of the list. My other choice was to get a SAS brand half mask similar to this one.
It is up to the shopper to be smart when shopping for anything, particularly when it's for safety.

For the relative inexpensive cost of this respirator, you get the face mask, 2 orgainc vapor filters and 4 regular filters. All the components fit together very well. It took me about 10 minutes to get used to the face mask, then I hardly noticed that I was wearing it. The obstruction of vision is quite minimal. Protect your lungs and buy this respirator instead of using the ineffective surgical mask type of filters.Customer Review: Easy to use

I bought this respirator to do some body painting on the motorhome. I've used many respirators in the past, and this one is lighter and more comfortable than any I can recall. It has been effective in filtering out vapors, and it's the first I've been able to use that did not fog up whatever glasses I wore with it. I generally hate using respirators, but this one is O.K. I'm glad I bought it.
