Tools and Hardware Reviews of Scotch(R) Adhesive Applicator ATG 700, 1/2 in and 3/4 in [PRICE is per DISPENSER]Customer Review: Saved my wedding invitations..Buy it! Summary: 5 Stars
As a DIY Bride I decided to make my own wedding invitations. I originally bought those little dispensers sold at the local craft stores to paste a backing and my invitation cardstock into a pocketfold. BIG MISTAKE! After completing close to 70 invitations which took me hours I was horrified to see that the cardstock was not sticking to the pocketfold and all the invitations were falling apart. I was trying to "save" money with those little dispensers. I wish I would have originally bought this dispenser, the one that the manufacturer of my invitation paper recommends.
This dispenser is not cheap by any means but is is well worth it. As I write this I am re-doing all the invitations I had done before and they are sticking like a dream. It is so easy to use and I found a video online that shows you how to load the tape.
Do not waste your time with those little dispensers if you are working with high quality and heavy cardstock. This dispenser has been a God send for me.
Customer Review: worth the investment for scrappers Summary: 5 Stars
I went through hundreds of tiny "refillable" glue and tape cartridges. As a hobby I make wedding and baby invitations on [...]. The tiny tape cartridges were breaking the bank and my profit margain. I invested in one of these tape guns, and it was the best decision. It made mass production or large projects so much easier. It's tricky to get the hang of, especially re-filling it with tape!! One suggestion I have is that when you buy the refill tape, don't buy the generic kind...BUY SCOTCH brand refill tape. You can tell the difference in the quality of the tape. I highly recommend this for any serious scrapper!
Customer Review: Worth every penny! Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased the ATG 700 because I was tired of paying between $5 -$7 for 49 feet of tape that comes in those little tape dispensers. I was a little leery of the $48 price tag, but after using it for a month and having zero problems, I am more than satisfied. You can find videos online that give perfect instructions on loading and refilling the tape roll ( which is 36 yards, YARDS, not feet and only $5.00) I am just now coming to the end of my first roll and this tape sticks perfectly. No more worrying that your project or card will fall apart! Do yourself a favor, buy this!!
Customer Review: ATG works well Summary: 5 Stars
It took me awhile to figure out how to load the ATG , but once I did I have been scrapbooking with no problem. Those small disposable adhesive dispensers are fine for small jobs and tight corners , but when you have chipboard, felt flowers or metal embelishments the ATG by Scotch gets the job done. I added some flowers to mine to make it craftroom worthy, but with the bright yellow I know I will never misplace it !
Customer Review: ATG 700 Summary: 5 Stars
The ATG700 Adhesive Applicator was purchased for a really good price, arrived quickly, and in perfect shape. I ordered tape, and since it arrived, I have had a little difficulty trying to figure out how to get the 'used' portion of the tape to wind up (not my best skill), so I am going to ask a friend who has the ATG700 to show me. I look forward to getting lots of scrapbooking projects done.
