This was a good product--in the beginning. I certainly removed the chlorine odor, though I had no real way to know that it removed the actual chlorine or chloramines. After using it for a couple of weeks, my pH test did indicate that my system was more alkaline. After a few months, the water started to come out cloudy--and cloudier and cloudier, over the following weeks. Now, it is also all rusted inside. This may be the fault of a cheap handle on the little filter basket, but the product is now useless, regardless of the cause.
I paid full price for the "real thing", as opposed to the cheaper copies, specifically because I assumed that I would get better quality. In fact, if I had bought a cheaper one, I would probably just think you get what you pay for--though I would not buy another, as I don't like to fill landfill...
Not a good solution to the water-filtering problem.
While I can return this to Amazon, I have to pay for the shipping.

AOK AlkaPod Portable Water Alkaline pH Enhancer Increases the pH level and filters your drinking water The AOK AlkaPod is portable, attractive, reusable and convenient for travel, camping or everyday use. The AlkaPod, while technically not a Water Ionizer, filters your water and uses natural elements to increase pH levels of your water. The AlkaPod uses 13 types of minerals in its filter.
