Customer Review: Died after 2 years!

First of all, I never really noticed a difference in air quality. The light on my unit died about a year after purchased and since there are no movable parts, the only way one could tell it was on was to touch to see if warm. I should have returned the unit at that time since it was still within the 2 year warranty, but it still worked so I didn't feel like dealing with the hassle of returning it. Finally, the unit died. I didn't notice at first because there was no light, but I touched it one day and it was ice cold. I tried moving it to a different outlet, but nothing. Since this is an unusual design, I couldn't open it up to try to figure out what was wrong, nor could I bring it to a repair person. I contacted the company and was told I could return the unit to be repaired for $80 (plus shipping), which in my opinion is just not worth it for something that I didn't think worked very well in the first place. If only it had died 2 MONTHS earlier, it would have been under warranty!! Just be warned-- if you already have a unit that is still under warranty, I would return at ANY sign of malfunction!Customer Review: Wowzers!

Starting in the middle of December my wife started to develop an ongoing sinus blockage at night. She would take sinus meds in the day but when she went to bed and woke up the next morning she was clogged up again. In January I started to feel it too. It was affecting our sleeping! My wife was so tired during the day. After a month and a half of my wife taking sinus meds on a daily basis, I bought this unit.
The night it arrived, I plugged it in and set it on the floor in our bedroom (the user guide says to set it on the floor). The computer desk in our living room is right outside our bedroom door. Within 15 minutes my wife, who was at the desk, exclaimed how clear her nose was! That night we both slept like babies. Even our 3 month old, who is in the room with us, slept pretty much all night!
The next day my wife and I felt clear and rested. Definitely worth the investment!
If I had any complaint it would be that the knob to adjust the blue light is on the bottom of the unit. But that's nothing compared to the relief we are getting.

After moving in to a little cottage by the sea, it was readily apparent that there was a mold problem and I was very sensitive. I couldn't breath at all in our bedroom, and had chest pains during the day, because my breathing was constricted. Knowing that we didn't want to move again. We shelled out $200 for this little blue spaceship hoping that Airfree's convection and incineration theory would work. The first night I could tell the difference. Even my wife didn't wake up with a stuffed nose. Almost two months into it, I'm having no symptoms of allergens affecting me. I'm usually affected by night lights, but it has a light hue which doesn't distract me while trying to get some z's. So even though I know mold is present, the airfree controls the spores from spreading and affects my lungs. All I can say is that it has made my living and sleeping enviroment both enjoyable and peaceful.Customer Review: Way too bright

I bought this for the bedroom to help with my asthma and allergies. I thought I had read that the light was able to be turned off. Not sure where I read that, because I can't find that now and it isn't able to be turned off. It's very bright and lights the entire bedroom with a blue glow. I need to return it, break the LEDs inside, or put it in a different room and buy another purifier for the bedroom. If I wanted a night light, I would have bought one. I don't want my purifier to be a lamp.
As far as the purifier functionality, it's great. If I had bought this for another room, I would have been very happy. The air smells fresher and I have fewer problems while sleeping. It's also silent and maintenance free. That's the why I haven't returned it and lived with the obnoxious glow it has. At least they chose a not so bad color. The blue is almost decent.

I have seven of these units running in my house, from P1000 to P3000, which I have been using for years. I don't have any problem with the plastic fume smell, purchased my about four years ago (still works), maybe they got cheap with the new design.
If you don't suffer from allergy, then this thing is not going to help because you won't be able to tell any difference. I'm allergic to 43 types of plants and trees, weekly allergy shots and daily zyrtec.
I was skeptical at first. I used to wake up in the middle of the night sneezing,blowing my noise, itchy eyes, but after using this, it has stopped. I decided to unplug the one in my bedroom, after six days, I woke up with my symptoms again. This actually works, but can be quite expensive on electricity when you have seven running 24hrs. 365 days.
