Customer Review: Reasonable vac for the money

I've always liked the idea of a wall mounted shop vac for the garage. I hate dealing with a canister style vac. It uses floor space and is constantly getting rolled around to get out of the way. I like this vac because it has a nice long hose (35'), mounts on the wall and comes with a reasonable array of attachments.
Some comments about this vac. It is noisy. This is on par with shop vacs at the low end of the price scale. My previous shop vac was a more expensive unit which was quieter. Second comment. They did provide a (very cheap) rack to mount the attachments, but there is no provision for hanging up the hose. Plan on adding a garden hose rack, or drape the hose over the top of the vacuum when mounted ion the wall. My third comment is that although the hose length is great, the diameter is too small. I understand why they did this. It is a cheaper hose and coils up easier, but significant amounts of the vacuums suck is defeated by the static back pressure from this narrow hose. I also found the narrow hose prone to having solids stuck inside it. I will be fitting a standard 2" hose to this unit. I will have to figure out how to deal with the large space required to store 35' of it however. The wall mounting backet is easy to install and makes it easy to remove the unit from the wall for cleaning.
I am satisfied with this vacuum. It achieves the space-saving goals I had in mind. It makes it much easier to vacuum out my cars. I would recommend it.
