Tools and Hardware Reviews of Powerbuilt 648796 Honda Crankcase Pulley Removal Tool

Customer Review: Good tool
Summary: 5 Stars

This tool worked great. You will need a 1/2" drive breaker bar (at least 20" long) to hold this tool. When using the breaker bar on the bolt make sure you support the extension with a jack or some sort otherwise you could bend both the extension bar and the bolt. Also you will probably want a 20" extension bar for the bolt instead of 2 10" extension bars, and a really big pipe (5-10 feet long) for extra torque, as these bolts are on at least 250 ft/lbs (spec) and commonly much more.

Customer Review: BEYOND (f-ing) PERFECT!!
Summary: 5 Stars

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! You made my life A LOT easier, and saved me atleast two days time trying to get a 'nut off' lol. ....THANK YOU!

Customer Review: Ummm.......it works
Summary: 3 Stars

Ok,
It gets the job done. Have a good sized breaker bar ready to attach to this (1/2" drive). You are better off with an impact gun.

Customer Review: Recommended - necessary when doing timing belt replacement
Summary: 5 Stars

Best price found on this tool. Required to hold the crank pulley in place while you loosen the bolt holding it on. Required for timing belt replacement on Honda cars. Used on a '97 Accord 2.7 liter V6. But also works on other years and 4 cylinder models. Requires a 1/2" breaker bar to complete the tool.

Customer Review: Excellent Tool!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

This tool works as advertised. However, even with this tool, removing the crankshaft pulley bolt was a pain. I broke two extension bars. I thought the breaker bar was going to break, but after jumping on it a couple of times, the crankshaft pulley bolt finally broke loose. Installation is a breeze, just make sure you apply oil to the threads and torque the bolt correctly. The tool hold up pretty well.
