Tools and Hardware Reviews of Clearmax Lightweight Pressurized Steam Cleaner and Sanitizer (Blue)Customer Review: Not bad for the price Summary: 3 Stars
I got this because of the price and I wanted to see the potential of steam cleaners. The temp (110 degrees) isn't really high enough to kill much in the way of bacteria, but it does a good job at cleaning. My toilets are phenominal! You can blast into all the crevices that sprays and wipes can't get. Baseboards, cracks of any kind and things that you don't want to use chemicals on (high chairs, toothbrushes and soaps dishes, etc) it works great. It definitely motivates me to get a higher end steamer. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is that you have to hold it on one area for a while to get it to "melt" the mess, the canister is small and you get about 10-15 max min of cleaning and the temp isn't high enough. But now that I have the experience of using one I know now i want to invest in a better model. I've seen ones that run 240-260 degrees for about 80 dollars. Eventually I'll get one, but for now this works pretty good.
Customer Review: Electric Steam Cleaner by Camping World Summary: 5 Stars
I clean military housing when tenants move out and most of the time they are horribly dirty. This little jewel cleans everything!!! I use it around the toilet bottoms, the little caps and whatever else is dirty on them. It just takes seconds and it is clean as a whistle. We use it to clean baseboards, walls, stove parts, grease in the kitchen, hard to clean items in the fridge, on the cabinets, floors, under the oven hoods, counter tops, to get lime loose from the faucets, inside the dishwashers and much more. We use it where ever it is really dirty and it cleans like a champ. I am very impressed and it is one of the best investments I have ever made. It is lightweight but a real heavyweight when it comes to steaming away the dirt. For the money this is a necessary product for my business. It is easy to operate and handle with a long cord to make it easy to reach those hard to clean places.
Customer Review: Good price and good, not great product Summary: 4 Stars
After reading all the positive and a few not so positive reviews I thought for about 20$ I was willing to gamble. I was pleasantly surprised with this product and while I admit I have nothing to compare it to, the product does do what it claims to do. I have been using it on my sons high chair and the microwave and it works very well. The cons of this product are: the cap has a safety feature (it works just like a child proof cap on prescription bottle)which took a few minutes to get the hang of, but is easy to master and I might I add I am glad it is there considering the hot steam and pressure that it is holding back; some of the attachments that come with the product (like the extended hose) can be difficult to put on and may require a bit of patience. However, there are really no major flaws to the product and it does do what it claims, so for $20 you really can't beat it.
Customer Review: It really does work! Summary: 5 Stars
Like a lot of other buyers, I simply could not believe that a steam cleaner this cheap was any good. I toyed with buying one for twice, or even three times as much, and finally decided to just buy it.
And you know what? It really is a bargain. I used it to clean gunk out of difficult to reach corners, to get out stains in my textured laminate kitchen floor that no amount of scrubbing would reach, to remove baked-on stains on my oven that simply wouldn't come out with abrasive pads and soap, to clean grout, and a dozen other previously impossible tasks. Not only that, but it comes with six different attachments, all of which are very useful.
Is it perfect? No. A larger water capacity would be nice. So would a larger mop attachment, and some extra mops. But given the low price, the quality, and how well it works, it's a bargain.
Customer Review: Wonderful little gadget Summary: 5 Stars
I don't like using chemical-based cleaners, as they tend to irritate my throat and give me headaches. Someone recommended I try steam cleaning, and so I checked out this product.
When I received the steamer, I was surprised that so inexpensive an item was so sturdy and well-made.
I have been very pleased with the results I've gotten. I'm an old-school housekeeper...I believe a little elbow grease goes a long way, and this steamer gives a little oomph to the effort. I can get a good twenty minutes of steam out of a full tank of water.
Now, if you're expecting the steamer to instantly dissolve six months worth of baked-on grease off your stovetop or out of your microwave, you will be disappointed. But if you want something that you can use for your weekly deep cleanings or on-the-spot cleanups, this is it.
