Tools and Hardware Reviews of Clearmax Lightweight Pressurized Steam Cleaner and Sanitizer (Blue)Customer Review: It works, but the parts break easy Summary: 2 Stars
I bought this product because of the wonderful reviews and the inexpensive price. I was very pleased on it's performance, as I was able to clean my baseboards, bathroom crevices, countertops, walls, and windows. But the part of the plastic hose broke on me (maybe the steam weakened the plastic). I searched for some address or phone number in order to purchase a replacement part. But could not find a company name, address, nor phone number. So, I thought to just order another one (the cost is cheap enough). Even though I was very cautious, the hose on the second one broke also, on the very first use (although in a different place).
I've learned never to order a product that does not offer customer support.
It is probably better to get the more expensive one that offers customer support and better quality parts.
Customer Review: Must have cleaning tool! Summary: 5 Stars
This cleaning tool does a great job on little projects and sanitizes as well. I have used it on baseboards, toilets, window frames, hinges and just about anything else I can think of. It cleans the hinges on the toilet seat great and cleans all around the toilet bowl. I love what it did to the baseboard and cabinets in my kitchen. I used it on my shower glass doors to loosen up the build up. Using a damb cloth and a little elbow grease with the steamer cleaned my shower easily. The pointed nozzle gets into small areas easily. I am amazed at how well it works. I use an extention cord when needed. It is not as powerful as a power washer which shouldn't be expected. I have recommended this to my friends who also loved it. The price is fantastic.Oh, and I have used it on my car tires and it worked well.
Customer Review: paid for a new one, got a used one! Summary: 1 Stars
Bought a new one, got a used one! See pictures. Rust on lid screw, white spots on steamer. Came with all pictured parts. Brush looked okay. It spits water out all over the place, and no light to show you when it is ready. You have to press the button to see if steam comes out. Scunci parts don't fit on it. Had the floor mop and 4 brushes, can't use them. Paid $6 shipping. Don't buy from Greenleaf or DBroth, they sent me a used one! If you use a sponge with it to clean up the water, hand held steam cleaners do clean up okay. Don't know how long this one will last, but the Scunci gave up after a few months. Don't know how old the one they sent me was and don't know why they sent me a used one! Buy from Amazon if possible, they let you return it at no shipping charge or will resend you a new one.
Customer Review: Makes Steam Summary: 4 Stars
Well I have had It for many months now and Its about time I write a review. Does It clean very well? That depends do Not expect It to do a major cleaning operation that would require a pressure washer to do but It makes high pressure steam but It gets so hot that the steam turns Into a gas which does Not clean very well but I Am sure It kills germs. A way to keep It from getting too hot turning from steam to gas would be to mount a switch to It then lean the right timing to switch It on and off. It takes less than 8 minutes to bring It up to maximum temperature then It automatically switches off. My biggest complaint Is It has a aluminum tank Instead of stainless Steel which means Its Not good for making distilled Water because of aluminum link to alzheimers and such.
Customer Review: Great product, great price! Summary: 5 Stars
After reading reviews for steam cleaners at Amazon I wasn't sure how this particular item would work out.
Arrived today, used and am very pleased with the results! While the product does have some limitations take in to consideration the price and the reality that there is some work involved w/cleaning. The only way to get out of that is to hire a maid!
Very easy to use and operate. I do caution: make sure you have the nozzles in the locked position. Very important. Otherwise they can and will fly off the end.
I would not permit a child to operate this item at all. The steam gets quite hot and one must remember to loosen the valve to release pressure before adding more water.
Overall this is a great item!
