Tools and Hardware Reviews of Clear2O CWS100A Water Filter System 72-Ounce Regular PitcherCustomer Review: love my clear 20 filter pitcher Summary: 5 Stars
i purchased my clear 20 filter pitcher on this website. i am so happy i did. it does everything the ad says it does. the main feature i like is how quickly you can refill this pitcher. you simply snap the attached hose to the end of your faucet, turn on the cold water and in less than a minute you have a full pitcher of water completely filtered.
this is the first pitcher filter i have owned, but i understand with other brands such as pur and brita, you have to pour water in the top and wait quite a while for the water on top to filter thru to the storage compartment at the bottom of the pitcher. with the clear pitcher, water pressure from your faucet forces the water quickly through the carbon filter element...no waiting around.
i seem to have read some reviews where the reviewer had a hard time hooking the hose adaptor to the end of their kitchen faucet. maybe they had a real morphodite brand faucet, i do not know. or maybe that kind of person could not screw in a light bulb without a detailed instruction manual. with my particular faucet i had no problem screwing on the adaptor.
oh yeah, bottom line.....my water now tastes great. i never have liked drinking much water, but since i've had my clear pitcher, i find myself drinking more throughout the day. it definitely removes the chlorine taste and any odd aftertastes.
any complaints with my new clear? well a couple of minor ones but they should not deter you from purchasing one (btw...i am not affiliated in any way with clear or one of their retailers). problem one - i had a slight problem getting the pitcher top off the first time. i had to stick a kitchen knife between the sides and top of the pitcher to pry the top off. i was afraid i was going to break the pitcher or the top, but after a little prying it popped off.
problem two - i've read other reviewers complain about how short the refill hose is and how you have to set the pitcher in the bottom of your sink to refill it instead of on your countertop. but once i studied the design of the pitcher, i realized that if the hose had been longer, it would not have fit into the long slot in the pitcher's handle. so out of necessity, the hose must be that short.
in closing, you should not let those two negatives change your mind about purchasing this pitcher. i'm not a chemist and cannot attest to the amount of harmful chemicals removed, but i know the taste is much improved. i think the filter is worth the price of admission if only for this aspect.
hope this review helped

Description of Clear2O CWS100A Water Filter System 72-Ounce Regular PitcherClear2O clearly stands out for its water filtration features. The system claims to remove five times as many contaminants as its leading competitor, including 99 percent of lead and about 54 other potentially harmful substances, resulting in purer drinking water. While other pitchers require patience to let water drip through a carbon filter, Clear2O is more like an under-the-sink system. A quick-connect hose attaches to both the sink faucet and pitcher and uses high pressure to send water through Clear2O's high-performance carbon block filter. Thus, the 72-ounce pitcher, which holds the equivalent of nine eight-ounce glasses of water, fills in as little as 34 seconds. Well-designed not just in terms of technology, the pitcher's sleek shape allows it to hold 50-percent more water than the similar pitcher of a competing brand, and fit in most refrigerator doors. Moreover, figuring out when to change the filter is a snap-the "intelligent" filter measures flow, not time, so you don't waste money changing a filter before it's necessary. Extra filters are available in single or triple packs. --Ann Bieri
