I bought a few of these because I almost killed my plants when I was away for 9 days. I tested them out by drenching the plant and then inserting a filled Aqua Globe according to the directions. That was last Friday, now it is 9 days later and the globe is only half empty. I fugure it may last from 10-14 days as claimed.Customer Review: Beautiful AND useful

Just fill with water, insert the stem into the soil in your hanging basket and it keeps those outdoor baskets from withering away. In my 16" geranium/petunia hanging basket, it dispensed water for 3 days during 90+ degree temps. I'll bring them in for winter watering of house plants. I received these for Christmas presents. They are very difficult to fill and waste a lot of water in the process. They must be refilled before completely empty or you have to dig dirt out of the fragile stem. They do add wonderful color for the plants in the window, but really are not a time saver or a water saver.Customer Review: Not worth buying online

I was about to buy this item since it is at a great price, but watch that shipping cost. This one does not qualify for a super-saver and the shipping was going to cost over twice the amount of the item I was about to order. That's an instant deal killer for me. I purchased these to water some window boxes. I filled the globes and inserted them into the planter boxes as the directions stated. Withing a few hours all were empty. I needed these for watering while away. But the water emptied out before I even left. Product looks nice, but doesn't work as expected.
