Customer Review: Great marketing. Not so great product.

I had used AQ for a few years. Have/had an undercounter unit and it mostly worked okay. The plastic housing broke twice. And the caps ears broke off.
I also don't think the filtration works as good as they claim. It is hard to believe the small-sized filter media filter out more contaminants than the full-sized ones. Especially for 6 months at a go. Additionally, I was repeatedly told by the phone sales rep that the filters removed FLOURIDE. But the fact is it DOES NOT. Look at the NSF results yourself.
My last two filter sets basically fell apart in the housing to the point where one of the ends fell off the filter, allowing the water to pass through unfiltered. I was on the "6-month autoship" program so they weren't old. I also do not have high water pressure.
The reality is much of what they build is junk. And you will see it after owning the product for a while. I suspect they've cheaped out on their filter units recently--which may explain why the last two sets failed.
I have subsequently tossed my AQ undersink and gone with another manufacturer (Best Filters WRFLOURIDE model). I was an AQ customer for years but something changed with the co. recently and they have gone to sh*.
Another thing worth noting is that customer service seems to be handled in India now. The last few times I called it was a major run-around trying to get someone on the phone that could make a decision.
