Based on another person's review of this motor, we purchased it. The reviewer had the same pellet stove as us (American Harvest from US Stove) and said that this motor worked well for him. We'd looked all over for an affordable replacement motor and couldn't find one. We'd purchased replacement motors from our stove manufacturer before, and they didn't last very long (and were $120). This motor is fabulous so far. We've had no troubles with it. It makes no noise that we can hear. It seems to be built at least as well as the expensive alternatives and is half the price! YAY!
As the other reviewer stated, it turns the wrong way for our stove, but it hasn't mattered because it only stirs the firepot; we're not using it as an auger motor. It comes with instructions on how to change the direction if you need to. And we also had to get a hole drilled in the shaft for the pin, which was no small thing. We tried a drill press--shaft was too hard. We had to take it to a machine shop where they used their toughest piece of equipment and were finally successful. Still worth it, though. Great motor!! Great price!!

If you need CCW rotation: Motor is reversible mechanically.
