I purchased this product for an alternate use. I attached a fabric sleeve to the top and hung it by a pressure rod accross the entry to the staircase between floors in my home to keep my free flighted parrots from flying into a non safety zone and safe on their floor of the house. It's easy for humans and furry pets to get through while keeping birds in designated area. Easy to see through, easy to put up and take down. I took one look at the velcro intended for it's original purpose and laughed. I can' imagine it working or being useful for it's actual intent without altering it for hanging.
