Door Thickness -
My door is 1 3/8" thick and the Twin Draft Guard fit loosely around the bottom (a thicker door would be just right). I would rather it be too big and need adjustment than have it be too small and unusable, though. To solve this, I just added some loose hand stitches on the inside where you can't even see them - pins would work equally well. For $9.99 I am not complaining that I needed to adjust this item slightly.
Door Width -
The foam inserts are about 34" long to start and are meant to be cut to fit the width of your door. On an inside door, you might have to cut them unequally like I did to account for the jamb on one side. This custom fit combined with my simple stitch adjustment made this item fit perfectly. The final result is an airtight seal that does indeed block drafts previously coming under the door.
Not as Pictured -
Note that the image pictured here (as well as the item's box) does not accurately depict the Twin Draft Guard. The actual item's foam inserts fit much more loosely in the casing, and there is the extra flap of fabric (which could also be cut to fit) on one side to close the casing. Most of the flap can be tucked under the door so you don't even see it. The Velcro closure is hidden under the door as well.
Overall Fit -
I can open and close the door without having to re-adjust the Twin Draft Guard. It doesn't catch or slip. Note that I am using this item on an inside door with no threshold and that it swings over hardwood floors. Other hard surfaces would work equally well with this item. Carpet would probably not work and cause the item to get stuck. A threshold would probably block the item on one side and probably prevent the door from closing.
Assembly Time -
It took less than 10 minutes to install the Twin Draft Guard, custom adjustments included. Worth the $9.99 at Walgreens, though I wouldn't pay much more. If you're handy with sewing, you might just want to make your own. Otherwise, this is a pretty good deal.
