This item seemed like it would be of high quality as it's quite a bit more expensive than its competition. At first, it seemed well made but after about 3mos of use the quality begins to show. Now I know stainless has different grades of quality and that the name implies that the metal stains less than steel and that it will still stain, but this thing began spotting with 1/2" to 1" diameter gray spots over the entire pole section after only a month. Maybe a chrome plated version would be better. Next, the wire shelving fell apart on a couple of shelves. The welds gave way, and I have to be careful of placing heavy bottles on them. After a few more months, I expected to see more welds fail. Funny though, as these all occurred within the first 6mos, and now after about 2 years of use, no other problems occurred. The tension in the pole is strong enough to hold all my wife's 20 or more bottles. There must be at least 3-5lbs of items on each shelf. The pole has never fallen since it was installed. The shelves are easily adjustable with the tapered fit and held in place with gravity. They are able to rotate, so it works best in a corner, but are quite sturdy. The faulty welds on a couple shelves and the staining are the only drawbacks on this item, so it's okay and something I would recommend but with those issues in mind. Much improvement is possible though.
