This is a brownie pan of epic proportions. One day as I was driving to work, 60 miles from home. Low and behold the car tire had a blow out. Great so here we go pulled over and started jacking up the car, only to find out that the car needed to be jacked up a couple more inches. Looking high and low there was nothing on the side of the road to give me those extra inches. So, searching the car for something I found Excalibur!!! Shimmering there in the backseat begging me, "use me." My wife had left it in the back of the car after making a fantastic batch of lemon bars. I put the pan under the car jack and it WORKED, lifting up the car just enough to change the blow out. YES!!! There are few products I own that are true marvels, this is one of them. This happened two years ago and she has made many a batch of lemon bars since. Thank you Vanessa you gave me the gift of a tire change. Just got this pan for my wife for Christmas. Made our first batch of our favorite brownies - and they came out better than ever - crispy edges and chewy middles... This pan REALLY works! Would rate it 5 stars except that it would seem, given that the width of each brownie is pre-determined by pan's size and there are already 2 or 3 perfect edges on the brownie, that the designers of the pan should have put some hash marks on the pan's side walls to indicate where to cut to get brownies of uniform length, too. As it stands, our brownies had perfect edges on 2 or 3 sides - but all were of slightly different lengths when we cut them... - not the perfection the pan seemed to deliver in its message and a shame given the thought that was put into the pan. If not hash marks to indicate where to cut, maybe a nice accessory piece would be a "cutter" - which would fit into each of the pan's channels exactly and perfectly cut 4 or 5 brownies of even lengths, etc...Customer Review: Awesome! Heavy duty pan, makes great brownies.

I have waited years for one of these pans - the high price tag deterred me from purchasing one, but a generous friend purchased this for me as a wedding shower gift! I am thrilled with this pan!
My first impression when I opened the box was "wow!" because the pan was much more heavy duty than I had anticipated. It is a sturdy, high quality product. Just make sure that you don't put it in the dishwasher.
I sprayed the pan with olive oil and filled it with batter (from a mix), and had no issues with the batter distributing evenly. I was concerned about properly adjusting the baking time, but this did not turn out to be an issue. I think I cut two minutes from the baking time, and the brownies came out perfectly! The brownies and the pan were a big hit at the party I took them to. You will love this pan!! It also come with a handy, perfectly sized plastic spatula for cutting and serving the brownies. This is a great addition to my kitchen. I like to use the fat free pudge free brownie mix and it works perfectly. The texture of the brownie comes out wonderful - crisp on the outside yet tender, which gives the brownie a lovely mouth-feel.
The only draw-back would be the extra step and messiness of transferring the batter from the bowl to the channels. It's not what makes or breaks this item, but it can be a bit of a pain as you have to make sure the batter is even, so instead of pouring I end up spooning the batter in various areas and then spreading to even it all out. Invariably the batter drips all over the place in the process and I have to wipe the raised edges so some batter does get wasted.
However, the clean-up with this pan is great, it really wipes clean and there's no need to scrub anything that gets 'stuck' on during baking, so it is really worth it in my book.

I don't know who would knock this pan other than on the fact it's so expensive, but it will last a lifetime so it's worth it. This pan is great. Heavy duty, easy to clean, doesn't stick, comes with a great little spatula/server, cooks brownies in half the time (in my case 20-25 minutes) and produces wonderful brownies unlike any other pan.
At first I thought I would have difficulty spreading the batter, but this has now become a simple, quick task since I have become used to it. I just use a smaller spatula and spoon it in and give it a quick drag through to level. I have had success with the Hershey's brownie mixes/Betty Crocker, but the included homemade recipe was excellent as well.
I agree the only downside is that you will make (and thus consume) more brownies when owning this pan! Can't say enough great things about it.
