Tools and Hardware Reviews of Baker's Edge Nonstick Edge Brownie PanCustomer Review: Fun for those that love the edges! Summary: 4 Stars
I just received the Baker's Edge Nonstick Edge Brownie Pan as a gift for my father-in-law as he loves the brownies with corners and edges. But then I thought that I should also make a batch for him to have right away. Oh wait, maybe I should make a practice batch. I know, I'm bad!
I liked that a regular brownie mix fit perfect, but that they also provided some recipes. It had a non-stick coating and it didn't stick. The spatula was a nice extra.
Overall, it was neat. It was a little expensive for a pan, since the pans probably aren't mass produced. It seems to be a good, heavy aluminum pan. It was a gift and I would have spent that much anyway on something that he probably won't be this excited out.
For those that love the edges on brownies, this is a good pan for you!
Customer Review: GREAT EDGES~DIFFICULT TO FILL Summary: 4 Stars
This pan produced excellent edge pieces as expected. The narrow channels are difficult to fill with batter without some of the batter ending up where you don't want it. Cooking time is difficult to predict because it might not be the same time you use for your old pan. For example: Directions on boxes of brownies do not have cooking time for this pan. You will definitely have to use the toothpick test. I recommend taking notes of your baking times the first time you make each of your recipes. I found that brownies took 2-4 minutes longer in this pan than they would in a normal pan with the same dimensions. This pan is well made and easy to clean. Overall I do recommend this pan for edge lovers. The negatives do not out weigh the positives. I think I will make some Brownies right now!
Customer Review: Not Just for Brownies Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this pan from Amazon in 2007, but it wasn't until last week that I finally opened the package and tried it out. I bought it for baking cornbread since corner pieces are the favored ones in our family. I have used it twice ... each time using two boxes of Jiffy brand cornbread mix. The first time I set the temperature for 400 degrees and the timer for 20 minutes (which is the least amount of time recommended). I peeked at it a couple of minutes before the timer went off, thank goodness. That batch was well done....not burned, but browner than I prefer. Last night I gave it try number two. I set my temperature for 375 and the timer for 20 minutes. This one turned out perfect. My only regret is that I waited for a whole year before trying this wonderful invention.
Customer Review: My Favorite Brownie pan and it will be yours to! Summary: 5 Stars
I could make this a long review, but I'm not... Just going to state the facts.. This pan is awesome...Makes perfect brownies everytime.... Every brownie has a corner... and they are just right... Not the hard corners like from other pans...My Family has finally stopped asking me how how I do it... Now they just enjoy them... Puts a smile on my face to see everyone going back for seconds and thirds on the brownies... I don't remember what I paid for this pan plus a little spachula that comes with it...Worth every penny I spent on it... I plan on buying another one when the holidays come around... It's just so easy... Dont' buy this as a gift... Buy it for yourself first... because when you turn into the brownie queen. You'll want to keep your little pan a secret.....
Customer Review: PERFECT PAN!!! Summary: 5 Stars
At first I was very hesitant to purchase this pan because it was expensive for what I THOUGHT was a basic "9 x 13" pan with dividers built in and because I thought it would be difficult to clean with the dividers. I am happy to say that I was VERY WRONG! This pan is made of excellent quality materials and construction and will probably last for years and years to come. The quality of the nonstick finish is so good that even those little drips of batter that get on the top edges of the pan just slide right off and don't stick at all. The weight is not as heavy as cast iron but heavier than aluminum. The finished product is the best ever of anything you cook in it. The spatula that comes with it is perfect to remove the brownies. It is very well worth the price!
