I just came in from doing battle with it. The short cord you have to attach tangles every time you turn the reel. The idea for getting this was that I wouldn't have to fight with cord tangles, but this just gives me a different shorter cord to have to battle with. I had to stand on my head and spin the reel without using the handle so I could direct the cord winding and constantly stop to untangle the shorter cord. I finally got 100' of heavy cord wound, then I had to gather up my 15' cord so I still have a wad of cord to deal with + it's now even heavier than it was to carry due to the extra cord and the reel. This is a lose-lose item and it's going back to the store.
It's probably good if you are stronger than I am and need more than one cord and don't mind fussing with it to reel it up. The quality of the reel is good, but I can't live with the design.
