Installation couldn't be easier. It's a matter of seconds to remove and replace it for cleaning the bowl. Most of all, it's comfortable. The slow close feature works just as advertised. I got this for the new toilet linked to below. This seat fits perfectly.
I've said all I want to say about a toilet seat. But, if you are in the market for a new toilet to put under this, I strongly recommend the one below. It just plain works better than anything since an outside john, but doesn't require a trip outside in the middle of the night.

I first encountered a slow-close seat at a friend's house before I was aware they existed, and as I was pushing down the seat against some resistance I was thinking "wtf?" because I didn't understand the technology. Anyway, I figured it out, bought a couple and now with just a gentle start the toilet seat lowers itself quietly while you are on your merry way to washing your hands (I hope) and moving on. I bought one for our young boys' bathroom, and now I'm trying to recall the days of that familiar "thunk!" sound when they used to throw down the seat. I probably don't have to remind you, but just in case, make sure you verify if you have an elongated or round toilet so you can order the appropriate shape.Customer Review: Sittin Pretty

A great looking solid seat, super easy to install (just do the plastic bolts first and then the seat snaps right into the top of them). It is easy to take the whole thing off to clean. I priced these out at the Blue and Orange stores and they are $50 plus tax and made of plastic. I bought two and say thanks to Amazon for the hookup.
PS. The slow close is pretty freakin nice to have, it takes about 15 seconds to close and you can just barely hear it. I have to admit that as a man, we will tend to close it ALOT more often because you can just tap it and walk away and know that it wont slam. just sayin :)

This seat is just super! It was easy to install and works exactly as I wanted. Just the slightest nudge with your hand, and it slowly and quietly drops down in place. The seat and lid both work that way. I got the white, and color is clear and true with no hint of yellow. The wood construction is sturdy and comfortable to sit on. I expect many years of service from the two which I purchased for my bathrooms. And by the way, the shipping from Amazon.com was so fast, I couldn't believe it. And the price was the best I found anywhere, either locally or online. I am one happy customer.Customer Review: 50% great

The (2) toilet seats and covers I ordered came fast and seemed to be packaged well. The product performs well and looks great. They close quietly and dependably. The only problem was that one of the toilet seat covers must have suffered some blunt force trauma at warehouse or during shipping since the edge of the seat was dented and a portion of the white laminate cover on the bottom side was peeling away. It really diminished the satisfaction of the upgrade from the original flimsy plastic seats I replaced which were original equipment on the new American Standard toilets.
