I used the bench dog to cut crown molding for cabinets. Once adjusted, the bench dog holds the molding at the correct angle (the guides on the saw were not high enough to do this). It ensures that every piece of molding is held at the same angle when cutting. This item was well worth the price. I was new to this crown molding stuff and making a lot of firewood until I bought this product. After a short learning curve, no more mistakes !! I would recommend watching a few videos on YouTube while your waiting for it to be delivered and after that just follow the directions on the unit and have fun. This is the best tool to have when doing crown molding. Our cuts were perfect and took less time. We have recommended this to some friends that do remolding for a living. Received the product today and had to return it. I am using 5" crown and I have a 10" compound miter saw. When I swing the arm right the cut would not finish completely. The saw would hit the jig. In my opinion it will work on 4" crown or you need a 12" saw.Customer Review: Great Product!!

I could not have cut my crown molding without this jig. The jig makes it very easy for set up and the pictures on the jig are there for a quick reminder on placement. I would recommend this product to anyone, weither it be a beginner or a professional.
