I purchased this plate to fit my existing PrpTop 250 table saw extension router table after receiving my newly purchased Triton router. It came in smart packaging, well protected and easy to open.
First impression was how much sturdier it was than the plate I was replacing. Not only made out of aluminum but thicker too.
The holes lined up perfectly and mounting the router to the plate was easy. I did have to drill the extra hole to accommodate the Triton lift feature. No big deal, the aluminum machines easily. The mounting holes are rotated enough so that reaching the power switch and the rough adjust height knob are fairly easy. All the hardware for mounting is included.
Leveling the plate to the table top took some time. My table has twelve leveling screws but once it was correct the two machine screws hold the plate firmly with virtually no rocking.
My original intent was to leave the older router in its plate to have the ability to make quick changes, thinking it might be beneficial when cutting cabinet doors. Because of the thickness difference between them, leveling each time would make it impractical. I intend to buy a second plate to fit my old router.
