This is a replacement for an identical unit previously purchased several years ago. We have loved the unit. It saves on shampoo, etc. The dispensers work well and do not drip. The reason we replaced the unit is after several years the soaps and stuff kept in the basket eventually broke down the chrome and the steel wire in the basket began to rust. I do not know if the painted version will last longer or less long. Even after several years the dispensers are still good. We have mounted the replacement unit in the original position in the shower. Then we re-mounted the original dispensers independently without the basket. I get one for my shampoo and my wife gets three for shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc. The dispensers put out relatively small amounts of product. I press the button 4 times for the amount of shampoo I want to wash my hair. This is not a problem. I would rather have too little on one push than too much.
