Customer Review: Good function, but prone to falling, and can shatter and cut you

I have used this company's products for the better part of a decade. However, this product is not nearly as secure as the time-tested 'Classic' dispensers.
The Classic is rock-solid. Properly mounted, it will not fall. The only potential for damage is dropping one of the bottles (done it).
I would have stayed with the Classic, but could not find the three-chamber model at the time.
I ended up with the one here - the 'Clear Choice.' It offered distinct Pros and a deal-breaking Con.
Pros:
- Streamlined appearance, chrome finish was appealing
- Clear bottles allow you to easily gauge amount of product remaining (the Classic covers the bottles almost entirely)
- Functional dispenser valves
- Easy to re-fill
- Decent value
Cons:
- Highly unstable and falls easily, leading to breakage and possible injury
Stability issue: while the mount itself is well-anchored when installed per the instructions, the dispenser literally just slides in and hangs in the mount. There is no positive clip/catch or any element whatsoever to prevent the entire dispenser from sliding up and out of the mount. This is a design flaw. Obviously, a hard knock will dislodge it. The bigger issue, is that just pushing the dispenser button can dislodge the entire unit. Ours fell out at least 3-4 times per month in the three months we had it. We were lucky, as it had survived every fall so far (I caught it in mid-air at least twice)...that is, until the last fall, which shattered one of the chambers, sending shards of clear plastic across the shower floor. Not fun.
You need to be VERY careful with this model. In a tight shower, you could all too easily turn and bump it, knocking it out of the mount. To add to the danger, the plastic shards can slice up your wet feet (when mine shattered, I freeze in place, scanned the shower pan, and pickup every piece of plastic...still missed a few which I only saw after getting out). The plastic shards are clear and therefore hard to see, so I would NOT place this in a bathroom for children or older folks with vision or mobility issues...not worth the risk (I recommend the Classic).
You could conceivable use a lot of silicone caulk to literally glue the dispenser into the mount, but that would make it impossible to remove the dispenser for refilling/cleaning at the sink.
If not for the dangerous mounting issue, it would be a 5-star product. As it stands though, it is hard to give it more than 1 star, considering the inherent dangers. Honestly, I am surprised they have not redesigned or recalled this product...I am sure there some folks out there with stitches thanks to this product.
