I had hoped these would be as useful as their 3 gallon bags, but I was disappointed. First, quality control is low... In my box of 12, about half had holes in the bottom right out of the box, so were completely useless. If you do get lucky enough to find one intact, be prepared for punctures and rips as you lift the bag out of your can. The very flimsy, weak material does start to break down in your can (despite the product description). One week we missed garbage collection due to travel, and the following week I tried to lift it out of the can and it was in tatters. Cleaning up the kitchen floor of moist, smelly kitchen waste--not a nice welcome home.

BioBag Trash Bags 13 Gallon- Compostable BioBag waste bags take the mess out of trash collection. Made from cornstarch, these bags help to eliminate regular plastic bags from our environment. When disposed, BioBags will biodegrade as naturally as food scraps, leaving no harmful residue. No Polyethylene No Polyethylene is used in the production of this product. BioBags bags are GMO (Genetically Modified Organism) free, certified for use in organic agriculture, yet are shelf stable just like paper towels. They will not begin the composting process until the proper conditions are met - moisture, warmth and micro-organisms.
