Researched this item before we bought but didn't find much one way or the other. We've had it about 2 months and it doesn't seem to work on any of the birds around us. Pigeons still roost, in fact often on top of this unit. Have tried alternating frequencies but that doesn't work either. We don't have the AC adapter so it eats through batteries pretty quickly. The only thing it does seem to work on is keeping the neighborhood kids from partying across the street from our house. The red light activates with motion and looks like an alarm sensor.Customer Review: Works as advertised

Don't know what kind of birds you guys are dealing with, but this unit works for me exactly as advertised.
I had close too a hundred black birds living in one tree, and making my life a living hell. Plugged in this
unit and they were ALL gone within a week. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars, is because the unit does
give off a high pitched sound which you can hear when you get close to it, but that's minor compared to how well
it performs.
Going to order another one for my front yard.

I had read the negative reviews of this product but given the nature of pigeons and the fact that it is illegal to shoot them(especially in a city apartment building, lol) I bought this devise. I am on the 12th floor and had tons of pigeons. My balcony will sit some 10 people. The balcony is enclosed by a solid Plexiglas of some sort. I have not had one pigeon since turning this device on. I turned it on around the 10th. of June. So far I am very happy with the purchase. Maybe this will change, but for now I am pigeon free.Customer Review: DO NOT BUY!

I had read the reviews before buying this product, and unfortunately was so desperate that I went ahead and bought it anyway. This thing chirps like a bird, it actually seems like it calls the birds over to chat. It is not silent at all. I wish for the money that I paid for it, that I listened to the reviews and didn't buy it. I live in Arizona and I was trying to get rid of the pigeons and doves from eating my dogs food....I think it just called more over!Customer Review: No worth the price

We bought this Bird-X for our balcony. Set up was easy and fast. The product does not work 100%, 90% or 70% as advertised by the manufactured. Pigeons keep coming and leaving their droppings in our balcony. I can say that the droppings have decreased. Our balcony is on 3 'wide and 6' long and this device does not drive birds away in such small place. I'm very disappointed with this purchase. this is not a $15.00 bird repeller.
