Customer Review: Spikes Good - Glue Bad

I have a terrible Pigeon problem on my home. I purchased these spikes and set to work installing them. They are up now and not a single pigeon dares attempt to roost where they are! However, it was a difficult installation. I installed these on stucco, so I didn't expect it to be easy. I don't recommend installing these when it's the least bit windy, nor when the temperature is over 80 degress. The "glue" they come with needs to sit on the spike bases for at least 10 minutes before it's even remotely tacky (it's greasy to the touch, not sticky). The angle of the spikes (they lean out from the base) means, if it's not tacky enough, the weight of the tops of the spikes themselves tips them right over.
I had no other alternatives and just wanted to get it done, so I kept re-gluing them. I would've been better off driving to the local hardware store and purchasing a product more like liquid nails.
But... all this said, the Pigeons are gone!
