Customer Review: Worked to get rid of the piles of pigeon poop in my entryway!!

For months now we've had to sweep pigeon poop everyday from our entryway because the pigeons love hanging out on the ledges above our front door. And when it rained, piles and piles of their poop would come flooding out from the rain gutters. It was awful. We figured we'd give this a try for $20 rather than spend over $300 to hire someone to put up metal spikes, like our neighbors did. Well, for the price it was WELL worth it. Just put on a lot of the included glue on the bottom of the strip and press down on the surface you need it on. The spikes glued on with no problem and it was so easy!!!! There hasn't been a single drop of the poop since we put these up. Absolutely worked for me!!Customer Review: These are effective!

For something so simple, they are definitely effective.
I used them on a metal arbor. I hung two upside-down tomato planters from the arbor and had a bench underneath, but found the
birds using the arbor as a toilet - not real healthy for the tomato plants and not a pleasant place to sit and enjoy the garden!
I attached the plastic "spikes" to the arbor and no more birds.
The glue has held up well - somewhat messy in applying, but not a huge problem.
Was able to cut the spikes to fit.
Visually, not perfect, but they are a clear/white plastic.
Hoping once the vines on the arbor grow more, they will not be as noticable.

The problem was birds landing on the window sills outside my eleventh floor apartment. The birds no longer visit, thanks to the Bird Spikes. A pack of Bird Spikes contains 10 one-foot sections of spikes, which just happened to be what I needed to cover the total width of the sills outside my livingroom and bedroom. The sections interlock, and were easy to attach to the metal sills with the adhesive included in the package, which worked just fine at temperatures only a little above freezing.Customer Review: Use and product should match

I anticipated the plastic spikes to be a heavier strength. My use is to place on my pontoon boat at the dock where we have a terrible problem with the birds nesting on the railings and canopy in down position.
For the right use (ledges with multiple rows of spikes for a cluster) these spikes appear they would be okay.
I returned and ordered the stainless steel spikes. The stainless steel appear to be what I need. The return was very smooth, easily completed.

We actually needed this to keep a cat from jumping on the window sill and waiting for the hummingbirds, so clear plastic was actually better than the stainless steel spikes. I just cut off the extra to get it sized for the window and nailed it in. I advise you use Stainless or Brass hardware to nail, as the galvanized nails I used started to rust. Took five minutes and I was done, and I have a lot left over.
