Tools and Hardware Reviews of Bird-X SP-10-NR Bird Spikes KitCustomer Review: Impossible to attach to painted metal. Summary: 1 Stars
I ended up being completely unable to use this product. I have woodpeckers that love to hammer on my painted metal chimney and duct outlets like they were playing In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida. I was completely unable to affix these spikes to those objects, using the included adhesive or regular super glue. I realize that's not the absolute best material to stick it to, but it's the spot that I needed the spikes to be.
Customer Review: Great for around a house Summary: 5 Stars
Worked great for me! They are clear/slighty frosted plastic strips that come with a tube of liquid nails glue, I just glued them to some spots outside where birds where trying to nest but really there is not enough room. Quick and easy. Now no bird nest mess. Not for commercial or large jobs, but solves a problem that I couldn't solve at Lowes or Home Depot.
Customer Review: Poof! Summary: 5 Stars
Had problems with pidgeons hanging out on an overhang outside my cafe. Piles of birdpoo outside a place that serves food = bad.
Checked all the local hardware stores for a solution and no one knew of any. Found these online and the day after our handyman installed them, Poof! Like magic, no more birds--no more poo! Happy me. :)
Customer Review: No more pigeon poop!!!! Summary: 4 Stars
I had been fighting the pigeon poop wars for a very long time and I finally won the war! The Bird Spikes did the trick and I can now walk out on my deck and not find a land mine of pigeon poop everywhere and my exterior walls are poop free too. This worked for me and the spikes were very easy and fast to install.
Customer Review: Not for small birds Summary: 1 Stars
I was having problems with barn swallows roosting on the brick ledge above our front door. I thought these would keep them off. Instead they just perch themselves on the spikes. My guess it that while it may work well for larger birds like pigeons, it doesn't work so well for smaller birds.
