Customer Review: Pricy - Even If it Is The Best

I wouldn't normally write a review before using the product and am usually displeased to read from others who have done so. But these comments do not assess the performance, but only a preliminary "cost vs coverage" estimation. The 2 stars are awarded by their definition only, since "I don't like it" closest describes my opinion at this point. I am referring to the size/price factor.
Anyone who uses a carpet shampoo machine would probably agree that whether it gets their carpets truly clean or not, it does go through the soap in the process. Along with many water tank renewals, there will be quite a few soap dispenser refills as well.
So although I should have known, (since the content is plainly labeled) that the $17+ buys you only 24 Oz of soap, when I opened my order/box and saw that puny little bottle it was a disappointment.
The rave reviews here convinced me to try it (and I have no reason to doubt its superior performance). I used the Bissell "pre-cleaner" Stain Remover in the blue spray-bottle, and NOTHING I have ever used works like it....nothing!
However, I would "personally" rather that they double the price - and package it in gallon containers than only offer the 24Oz size bottle for use in a machine (unless it is severely concentrated). I was actually hoping they would offer the pre-cleaner product in a larger bottle too, (which is what started my search for another product they made for my shampooer) but after contacting Bissell, I learned they do not.
So it may be the best product available, (IMO their pre-cleaner certainly is). But it looks like it is very expensive to use, especially on larger jobs. No doubt they want you to compare its cost to that of hiring "professionals" for your cleaning.
Just my first impression - hope to find I am wrong. Perhaps I will amend this review after using the product.
