Customer Review: Love my little workhorse

I finally had to break down and replace my first edition of this handy little guy - after 6 years of near daily use. I have a large kitchen, two baths, and an access hallway from the garage, all vinyl flooring. Add to that two cats, a dog, and a third grader, and you have a pretty good idea what this vac can handle. Cleaning the dirt cup can get a little messy, but it's more than worth it for the overall convenience. I keep two filters handy at all times. An old toothbrush takes care of the hair and dust rather quickly. When I'm finished, I pop out the filter, brush it off, and give it a quick rinse under the tap. Slap on a dry filter, and it's ready to go again. The whole process takes less than a minute and half.
The light weight makes it perfect for my 8 year old daughter to use, it takes up virtually no space, and the cost simply can't be beat. I've bought them for my mom, mother in law, and best friend. They all love them too. When used for its intended purpose, this unit more than lives up to the job.

I purchased this vacuum as an alternative to a broom for picking up pet hair and small outdoor trash on hardwood floors. Don't expect it to do the job of a full-sized vacuum - remember, folks, it's a $20.00 appliance! - but for cleaning up small amounts of sand, cat litter, leaf and grass litter, and pet hair, it does a perfectly adequate job. I like the fact that it's lightweight and small enough to tuck away in a corner of my laundry room. The cord is a bit short, but I just resolved that issue with an extension cord. The dirt cup functions like a Dust Buster-style product - remember to hold it over a trash can when you open it up to empty it.
Quality-wise, I have no idea how long the appliance will last. All of the components are lightweight plastic but seem to snap together tightly. Again, one of the things I like about the product is the fact that it is so lightweight.
Bottom line - this $20.00 vacuum does a good job for the money and for my particular purposes... no problems here.

I have tile and carpet in my house and I was looking for a quick, easy EFFECTIVE way to clean. I wanted something for my tile that would be more effective than a broom and easier to use than my big bulky vacuum. I came across this Three-Way a little skeptical, but a friend of mine swore that it was great. I took her advise and low and behold it was a DREAM! i have two insane small dogs, two ferrets, a boyfriend and younger brother. Not to mention all the nasty stinky "boys" that come in and out of my house on the daily and this little thing handles it ALL! I just take it out, plug it in, turn it on and within minutes my floor is spotless! From leaves to crumbs to dog hair to HUMAN HAIR.... its amazing. i would definitely recommend this product to anyone and for 20 bucks.... wow! It was a GREAT buy!!
It only gets 4 out of 5 stars b/c i can't quite understand why why there is no place to hang the attachment. But ....all in all THAT doesnt effect the way it cleans my floors:]

This is easy to use and very light weight. It was just what I needed between weekly visits from the wonderful person who actually vacuums for me (I HATE vacuuming with a passion).
I have a cat and a dog and I garden (sloppily) so I needed something like this that I'd actually use. I took it out of the box, assembled it in about a minute (without even having to read the directions) and I cleaned up my kitchen. It pulled up an amazing amout of fur, etc. Now I'm looking for things to clean.
It took me a few trys to get the emptying part down, but it's easy. Just remove the main unit from the "stick" and empty it over a trash can or empty it over a piece of newspaper on the floor. Since the body is plastic a bit of the fine dust may cling to the outer case, so have a damp paper towel handy to give it a quick exterior wipe. No big deal.
The price is so incredibly reasonable that I bought another one to keep next to the kitty litter box.

I bought this for the express purpose of picking up the kitty litter my cats scatter on the tile floor in "their" bathroom. For this it is nearly ideal.
Pluses and minuses:
+ it has enough power and capacity to handle the mess made by three cats who enjoy scattering litter.
+ I only need to empty it every 4 or 5 days
+ The crevasse tool and sweeper head are excellent; the suction through the latter surprised me.
- Messy when emptying, particularly cleaning the filter. And as a previous commenter noted, a damp paper towel is a good thing to have for the outside of the unit when you're done emptying it.
- When the unit is powered up after a cleaning, it can blow a small cloud of dust out the exhaust.
The minor complaints are, to my mind, heavily outweighed by the convenience and utility of this vac. It's nearly perfect for the intended task, i.e., light cleaning between major cleanings.
