Customer Review: Does What It Should

After dealing with a crud Dirt Devil for nearly four years, we bought a Hoover and it died after less than a year. After that, I decided to try a new brand and after much reviewing, we decided on this Bissell. While I don't feel like it's a heavy duty as the Hoover, I have been very pleased with it. We've had it for almost six months now.
I have two small children (both boys), two cats, and one dog (part Pomeranian, so you know he sheds!). I vacuum a two-story house nearly every day and the vacuum has been able to keep up. I've been amazed at how well it picks up pet hair.
It does fill up every time, so I know it's picking things up out of my carpet and it hasn't clogged on me once. I also haven't had to dig anything out of the roller brush. It's light weight and easy to move around, and it has a handle on the back for carrying it up and down the stairs.
The only issues I could see being a possible problem for some people is that it does tip over easily when using the detachable hose, so you need to keep the vacuum close to you and not pull the hose too far. Although it does have extra hose attachments which can make the hose longer, so that helps. Also, it can be a tad messy to clean out the area where the dirt collects. The dust tends to collect in two different areas and so you can end up with a slight dust film over the front of the vacuum when you remove them to dump them out.
All in all, it does what it should for the price. I wasn't thrilled with the prospect of spending $200 on a vacuum, so I've been pleased with the effectiveness of this lower cost vacuum. Worth the purchase.
