Customer Review: The Only Deep Cleaner Vacuum for YOU!

I can speak volumes of this deep cleaner carpet cleaner from Bissell. I went on a limb and decided to purchase it based on the reviews.
My carpet was extremely soiled after my new puppy moved in. (Thank goodness he's now potty trained) There was just pee stains and an awful smell lingering at the tip of my nose..and even after cleaning it with a pee stain remover and 4 bottles of febreeze..it was still there.
Another reason I bought this item was because my parents were coming to town! I would not! I repeat, would not! get caught having my carpet so, so, dirty and seriously,.. gross looking. So with this cleaner, I also threw in the pet stain&odor remover as well as the normal cleaning solution with scotch guard (which is awesome!)
With Amazon Prime, it came the next day of my order..just perfect. At 9 am it arrived (my parents were arriving at 1pm) So I assembled it in like 3 minutes, loaded up the water compartment with steaming hot water and the cleaning solution, and there I go.
A very very quick 3 hours later, my carpet looked brand new, almost better than when I moved in.. And the cleaning solution also gave it a nice almost baby powder scent. To my surprise, even after almost drowning my carpet with the liquid, the power and strength of this vacuum just amazes me. It left my carpet damp, but not too damp. After a quick shower, it was practically dry to the touch.
Now, when I have free time, I love to occupy myself by cleaning the carpet with my Bissell vacuum. Seriously, it's actually quite fun and it makes you feel as if you've achieved something great.
Oh and if you were wondering, lets say my parents gave me a gold star. YES!!
Trust me on this one.. this is some of the best money I've spent.

I bought it because I have an indoor dog that occasionally makes messes. I can trust this to pickup any stain, even one that is weeks old. You will see the stain get sucked up and it is good about sucking up all the water it puts out. I was so confident in it that I left my dog at home for a week saving me $180 in boarding fees. I knew this Bissell would bail me out and it would be like paying me $180 to do a quick cleanup when I got back. My dog could be more comfortable at home anyway and no hassel of drop off and pick up. I recently got a puppy as well. She makes messes constantly. I use this Bissell many times a day. I keep it plugged in and ready to go. Just the other day the puppy hurt her paw and walked all around on my white carpet making blood paw prints. I had to use about 5 tanks of hot water in the Bissell but all of the blood stains came up. It is great for small stains or a small apartment, but if you want to shampoo your whole house or something, you should get one that is wider. This only has a 9" cleaning path which is good and bad. The good of it is that it can concentrate it's suction power more. Don't put boiling hot water in it. I did that the first time. Water out of a teapot and it warped the plastic but it is ok. I just use hot water now. About every other time I use shampoo in it. It is so good that hot water is enough most of the time. The tank where you add the hot water and solution is an odd shape. You can't rest it flat in your sink. Clean the bottom brush every 4-5 times of use. It will collect hairs...well that is because I don't vacuum first. I used this so often. The only other one I have used was a Sears canister with big tank unit and hose. It was always breaking. I'd give this one 10 stars if I could.Customer Review: Great product for entire house.

I have a baby, a husband who doesn't take his shoes off in the house, 3 cats, & a dog. All of this in a house with light carpet. I wasn't expecting anything fantastic, I just wanted something at home instead of having to go & rent a machine, but this product really fantasic. It was easy to put together, it comes with 16ozs of cleaner as well. I used this product to clean every room in my house in about 4 hours, including the stairs (about 1300sq feet of carpet). Yes, the tank is small but it's really easy to dump the dirty & replace the clean tank. Takes about 3 minutes, if that. I've had no issues with leaking at all. It's not very heavy & glides along the carpet with ease. We have fluffy carpet, so I was concerned about drying time, but the longest anything took to dry was about 2 hours the couple bedrooms without fans & the hallway. Our living room was dry in an hour with the aid of the ceiling fan. I've also used it for spot cleaning when spills or pet stains have happened. Since I've had this machine, there have been 2 stains I doubt I would have gotten out if it weren't for this machine. The only issue I had was the first time I went to dump the dirty water, I didn't realize there was an open filter at the top. So if you aren't careful, you'll get spills from that, but as long as you pay attention it's not a problem. Deep cleaning that made me realize that my Bissell vaccuum needed replaced because of pet hair it even managed to pull up. It gave new life to our carpets. I would have paid more for this product, so at this price I think I got a great deal. I'm very happy we bought this instead of using a rental.Customer Review: good for a budget, bad for the valley

i live in western oregon, which is known for its moist climate. when i used this bissell on my carpet it only sucked up about half of the water it put down, and this was with slooowww multiple passes over the same spot. since it is not good at picking up water i would not recommend this cleaner to anyone who lives in a moist climate, it is basically an invitation for mold to grow in your home.
the dirty water tank is also very hard to clean out. there is only one hole in it that drains water out and it is like a maze inside of it, so you have to run water into it and swish it around a lot in order to get it cleaned out.
it also does not get stains well, definatley want to spot treat before hand, which is fine considering it is a basic cleaner.
i would also say the name "quicksteamer" is very misleading since it does not heat the water, the water is practically cold by the time it reaches the carpet.
overall, this would be fine if you want to keep it handy when there is a spill and get a quick cleanup and plan on renting a dirt devil once a month or having professionals come in every 6 months or something. it is definatley not meant for keeping your carpets pristine month-to-month. if you want something that is a little more heavy-duty, save another $50-$70 and get a Hoover F5912-900, which cleans with heat and you would probably only need a professional clean once a year (depending on how picky you are about the maintenance of your carpets).

This is the best carpet cleaner because it is light and simple to use. I use it with half a cup of Clorox Clean-Up mixed with water. Besides leaving my carpet clean I did not expect I would have such amazing health benefits. I live in a condo with wall to wall carpet. Since I used this machine I was cured of several maladies: headaches, stomachaches, nausea, insomnia, weakness, and joint pains. My husband's allergies and snoring are practically gone. I also cleaned my father's apt. and he looks healthier and 10 years younger. Now I realize that I and my family were suffering from carpet poisoning. Carpets are drenched with pesticides, fungicides besides being made of toxic material and collecting all sorts of harmful dust. This cleaner takes a lot of the poison away but you have to use several times to see results. I wish I could remove the carpet and use tiles instead, but I am not allowed due to condo policies (carpets are noise insulator so it cannot be removed). I am surprised of how many people are just unsuspecting of the harm of wall to wall carpet and just keep taking medication to treat their conditions.I cannot believe that in such a country with best experts and doctors and nobody is doing anything about the carpt issues. The Carpet industries must be bribing and lobbying really hard to keep the harmful secret from the public. Women, children, and elderly are more vulnerable and get sickier. These carpet cleaners are expensive but it will prevent several maladies.
