Customer Review: Surprisingly perfect for our home

I was really impressed with this little guy and it's easier to use than other ones (The holder for the dirty water is very easy to remove). I had an old stain from when we bought our house that came out after the first try.
Others have noted that you have to spray ahead of time, which is true and I tend to scrub as well and then go over with the steamer. I also tend to over wet and then spend much more time getting up as much moisture as possible.
As to the fact that it doesn't warm the water? I put hot water in before using and it seriously has helped save our carpets that have taken a beating from some rescued dogs learning to be house broken. It has kept me from having to get new carpets which would have been much more expensive.
This is not for a large house but it's fine if you have just a small amount of carpet and you don't mind putting in a bit of work.

I bought this steamer based on all the positive reviews here, but I found it inadequate to handle the tough stains that my three bullmastiffs can create. It has a very small track and even though I have only two rooms of carpet, it would take me quite a long time to cover the whole the whole area. And it left the stains in situ. I switched back to my favorite steamer brand so far -- the Dirt Devil vision -- and it works beautifully! It has almost twice the track size of the Bissell, a much larger tank, and it gets out the dog stains - ground in mud and dirt, slobber, urine and other accidents -- quickly and beautifully! Every time I think I finally have a stain that will beat it, I'm always surprised when it cleans my carpets like new again. I really can't recommend this Bissell steamer, it's VERY lightweight, you probably need to have fairly clean carpets to begin with -- I gave my Bissell away . . .Customer Review: A Nice Surprise

I recently purchased the Bissell Quicksteamer Powerbrush and I am happy to report that it works! I live with my husband, dog and 4 cats. I must admit that my dog is the main culprit when it comes to making messes on our carpets. After she found the perfect spot to "pee" on my favorite black floral wool area rug (and returned to it a number of times to complete her work), I pulled out my Bissell and put it to work. The stains and odor are gone and my dog has not returned to mark her territory since. While I had the Bissell out, I used it on some old, ugly stains on my beige carpet. Lo and behold, those stains were almost gone as well. I will probably redo that area of the carpet again and I bet the stains will completely be gone. I am really a perfectionist when it comes to cleaning, so for me to say I love my Bissell is remarkable. This is a great carpet cleaner for the price. We received it back in the end of May and just used it over the weekend and the carpet turned out cleaned and had that just carpet fresh smell. Very light to used considering the other carpet cleaners are big and bulky to use. I didn't need the attatchments since I have the bissell green machine for that so we looked at all the carpet cleaners and their reviews and this one had a great review. Some people had some negative comments on this but I believe all products have negative things about them. If you are going to buy a carpet steam cleaner, then I do recommend this one, The bissell quicksteamer powerbrush~ You will not be disappointed. It took us about almost 2 hours to do. It comes with a little starter cleaner solution but I already 1 1/2 bottle of solution. Since I have animals, it did fabulous on that too.... Going slow is the key. You have to let the machine do the work. My only complaint is that it did leave tiny stripes on an oriental light-colored rug but I think that's more a matter of the extremly low and tight pile than the machine. I love the size and am able to get between furniture that I wouldn't be able to do with any of the larger machines. It even got under my coffee table. My only regret is that I wished I'd gotten the 2090, which has a hard-floor attachment (but since I could order the attachment directly from Bissell for the same $10 difference, I'm okay with it). I did a large bedroom and hall in a couple hours and was pleased with the results. It's amazing what it got out of areas I thought were already pretty clean. Next time I'll use their pretreatment formula for the hard-to-clean heavy-traffic areas. There is also a formula booster they sell, but I haven't tried it yet.
