Tools and Hardware Reviews of BISSELL Remanufactured SpotBot Hands-Free Compact Deep Carpet Cleaner, 1200RCustomer Review: It's a miracle worker... Summary: 5 Stars
I have never "loved" an applicance before, but I love my SpotBot.We moved into a country home with cream carpets (what were the previous owners thinking!?!?!?!?!?!)stained from dogs, toddlers, and who-knows-what-else. We tried carpet steamers, chemical spot treatments, you name it - and finally resigned ourselves to having to replace the carpet.
I figured I'd at least try one more time with the carpets and bought the Bot. After the first section, I was amazed - it got out a stain that I had worked on for three years with no success (I'm pretty sure it was dog-related). I spent the whole weekend zapping stains around the house and it erased every single one!
If you have pets or kids, or even a klutz (I spilled coffee on the carpet and it was no problem), this gadget will pay for itself. I highly recommend it!
Customer Review: remanufactured SpotBot Summary: 4 Stars
so far so good. I am pretty happy with it. Use the manual setting much more than the other. the walk away setting, even on the shorter cycle left the "crop circle" that was just too evident-and the spot was very wet-i ended up going back over it with the vacuum hose anyways. One of my dogs got into peeing in the front room for a week or so-even on dried up areas is seems that the spot bot got the stain AND smell out. and I've been diluting the cleaning solution even more than they suggest. I did notice that the liquid spills easily when I move it from area to area-not a constant leak-just spills out a little. so don't turn it on its side when it has liquid in it. cleaning the hose is really easy just get a pan of clean water and vacuum it up. Very satisfying to see all the dirt etc.Get sucked up and my house finally smells better!
Customer Review: Best purchase of my life...or this year, at least Summary: 5 Stars
We have 5 cats. Need I say more re: our need for such a product as the Spot Bot? We purchased the remanufactured Spot Bot for about $80 and it's worked like a champ to date. We've used it numerous times already in the 2 weeks we've had it. It seems to work well in most cases on the shorter time setting, even getting red wine stains out of our nearly white carpet. (Admittedly it was not the cats drinking and spilling the wine!) We have been mixing our own stain treatment--from Oxy-clean powder we already purchase for laundry. It's a lot cheaper than the bottled one we bought at first for the Spot Bot. But we do buy the suggested Pet and Stain remover in the plastic bottle from Target. We spend a lot less time on our hands and knees scrubbing...AND end up with beautifully cleaned spots with this nifty machine.
Customer Review: Very impressed! Summary: 4 Stars
The Bissell SpotBot is very handy! I have used it for small spots and larger stains. It is so much eaiser than a larger carpet cleaner!! The ability to just press one button and it does its thing is great! At first I was a little worried about the circle mark it leaves but it fades as it dries. It even worked on set in stains. Another thing that concerned me was when I read other reviews talking about their cleaners stoping working after a few uses. I purchased a remanufactured one and it has been GREAT! - One comment about Amazon.com make sure you don't let them bundle products! Don't buy your cleaning products here, then end up sending you them from diffrent venders and so you get charged outragious shipping charges! Its just CRAZY! Even the other venders were annoyed by it!
Customer Review: Priming is frustrating Summary: 4 Stars
So this product must be plagued with this priming issue. Out of the box mine would not spray no matter what. I tried all the methods online but they did not work. But I am resilient, and didn't want to go through the hassle of returning/exchanging. I finally found a method that works, though it isn't for the faint of heart. Turn the unit off, and suck (yes, with your mouth) the small tip on the hose that dispenses the cleaner. Give it some good hard sucks, no liquid should be coming through though. Now turn the vacuum on and squeeze the trigger. If your luck is as good as mine, the fluid should start coming out. As far as cleaning goes, it seems to do the job on the my cat's hairball spots, which was the main purpose of the vacuum, so I am happy with the purchase (minus the priming).
