Customer Review: Life-saver for Pet Owners

I have two former stray cats living in my apartment, so we have the occasional litter box mishap. Before I got the SpotBot, every accident meant 20 minutes of getting the spray, getting the rag, letting it soak, putting in plenty of elbow grease and then still not being able to get the smell out. Now I can just fill up the tank and let it run - if it doesn't come out the first time, I can set it to heavy stain and it comes out perfectly every time. It even got out the set-in pet stains from before I got the SpotBot. Also, I would have never guessed that this was a refurbished model, so the value was amazing. I give four stars instead of five only because I wish the cleaning surface was slightly larger - I have had to make two passes over some of the bigger accidents.Customer Review: Couldn't live without it!

I'm not one to go online and give ratings, but I do read them. So, it is without hesitation that I recommend the spot bot especially if you have a pet that pees, poops, throws up etc on your carpet. It is also good for all kinds of stains...especially if you use the wand manually. Also, to keep the tube and cannister clean, I recommend cleaning it with baking soda and water. I put hot water into the sink and add a couple of tablespoons of baking soda to a gallon and run it through the hose. It not only cleans the hose, but the tank as well. I only wish the waste tank had a better way to clean it as I did not discover the soda idea till today. I used my SpotBot in what must have been the craftroom/kennel/gym of the previous owners. The nasty nylon carpet that came with the house is extremely reluctant to give up stains, but the SpotBot cleaned up oil and crusted-on soda spills easily. It even made significant inroads into smears of oil-based black paint. The ability to switch between automated and manual modes was helpful. On the worst stains, I ran a couple of automated cycles, then switched to manual mode and scrubbed. This is much more effective and powerful than my (good quality) carpet steamer. Yes, it does use a lot of cleaning fluid, and it takes time to address every stain (at least, if your carpet looks like this one). But it is still cheaper and faster than replacing flooring!Customer Review: The Best - 2nd one I've owned

With multiple dogs this has become a MUST have for the carpets. For years I just did the auto setting and let it clean everything. Then when it was getting really old I decided to use the hose attachment. Wow! Even better. However with 3 years age the handle broke thus requiring a 2nd order. I've beaten the first one to death (almost daily use for at least 6 months of multiple puppies in the house). Wished I would have used the hose attachment sooner. It really sucks the water out of the carpet (and cleans extreemely well) leaving it dry to the touch in a couple of hrs. THe robot mode takes much longer to dry but does a very good job. The OXY clean was NOT a good idea Kind of bleached the carpet. Other than that I would recommend this to anyone.Customer Review: A nice little machine.

Upon opening some pieces were laying in the bottom of the box. I removed everything and noticed one broken piece and one missing for the attachment. One call to the bissel service dept. with a detailed explanation to live help and they sent a free replacement upon review of my receipt and the cord end cut off the bad unit and fedex'd to them prepaid. Within 5 biz days a new refurb was delivered free of charge and it worked great! As far as the use, it is a little heavy but it has to be to clean in auto mode. With unit in deep clean it goes through cleaner fast but does a good deep clean. The buttons are easy to understand and the hand attachment works good. Its definately a time saver in our house with 2 little boys. Thanx Amazon & Bissel!
