Customer Review: Don't bother for carpet

I have two cats and one sheds a lot. They don't like vacuums so I try not to use it often. Hey, that saves energy too! So I wanted something that I could use to clean up after them.
I tried a regular broom and got some of the hair up, but you could see most was still in the carpet. I bought this and went over the room. It takes a lot of work because you have to use small strokes to get the rubber bristles to "Stick" to the hair. Wetting the broom seems to work better, but the broom dries quickly and you have to watch how much water you put on the carpet. After sweeping the room I could still see there was hair left. The Bissell did better than the regular broom but it is debatable if it is worth the price. Especially since I was able to put on my Chucks and sweep my feet across the floor and cleaned up what the Bissell missed.
Use your money on a cheap pair of sneakers with rubber soles and you will probably be happier.
