I have a tan colored carpet that has become really grey due to the foot traffic going in and out of the condo. I had to do two applications, but it does make a noticeable difference. It won't make it look brand new or anything, but I can see a noticeable difference and I am happy with it. It looks better after it is dried, and vacuumed. I have also used it on some dark spot stains as well. Again, makes a noticeable difference.
Good product that does make things look cleaner. It won't make your carpet look brand new but that is a pretty high expectation for something under 20 bucks. The trail size cleaner is small and you should get one or two extra cleaner bottles.

Product so far has performed very well. The trial size cleaner container was small and did not last long. Attempted to purchase here locally, but could not locate. While on a short vacation, went to a Target Plus and was able to purchase one. Too bad I had allready ordered some through Amazon.Com, and finally arrived today 04/06/09. I ordered the product on 03/21/09. Missed the 2-6 day delivery by a week. Also the shipping charges were almost the cost of the product. Tried Tried Target, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, etc. and no one carried the cleaner and/or the rug stick. The stick has a tendency to bend if a little pressure is applied, so have to be carefull it does not break.Customer Review: Not very effective

I wanted to clean and freshen our area rugs - we have two big dogs and the rugs were getting a little too fragrant. I thought I'd try this first instead of lugging around a rented rug cleaner, and I'm not very impressed. First of all, one large can of cleaner didn't even cover an entire 5x7 rug. The striped pattern left by the Rug Stick itself didn't come out of my rugs. One rug now has an odd nap to it that makes it harder to vacuum. The pet odor didn't really come out, and the small spots in the rugs from my muddy boots and dog paws didn't come out either. Guess I'll just rent a big machine and really clean the rugs the right way. This thing is headed for the trash.Customer Review: not good

the woolite foaming cleaner is great, I use it with a handheld brush and always removes all stains, but the brush they have on the broom doesn't do anything, hard to handle and hard to have a good rub with it to totally remove the stain

We live in an apartment complex that decided light-patterned, berber carpet would be a good idea and started to get some dark, mystery spots. I was a bit skeptical, plus didn't think it would make a dent in berber carpet. Bottom line is you need to buy the refill right away, the sample size is pretty small. Work on a couple techniques, short scrubs in opposing and diagnal directions, and waiting for it to dry fully before vacuuming is pretty key. I didn't have a problem with it bending, you just have to be a bit careful, all in all, it exceeded expectations after giving it a couple runs. It's effectiveness is going to vary from carpet to carpet and stain to stain.
