Tools and Hardware Reviews of Woolite 850B Rug Stick Carpet & Rug Cleaner

Customer Review: Would recommend!
Summary: 5 Stars

I finally found this product at Vons. With the coupon the cost came to $12 including tax. I used it on three floor rugs. I have three dogs and one is a puppy who seems to think the rugs are his own personal pee pads. I have been using the Woolite carpet cleaner that comes with this product for a while to spot clean my carpet and rugs. The rug stick is much more convenient because it covers a larger area and I don't have to get on my hands and knees. I was concerned that it would be flimsy based on a prior review but I did not find that to be the case at all. It also removed a stain on one of the rugs that I hadn't been able to get out previous with a hand brush.

Customer Review: Pretty good results.
Summary: 4 Stars

I wasn't expecting much from this product. But I thought I would give it a shot. While carpet foam is hardly the revolutionary way to clean your carpets that the box claims. it did a very respectable job. Pretty much on par with Resolve and a carpet brush, but without the harsh odor. I prefer the fresh clean scent of this. It did struggle with the stubborn, deeper set in stains, but Resolve did no better. As mentioned by others this will not replace a good steam cleaner but those are getting few and far between, and this won't set you back $200. You can pick this up along with a extra bottle of foam for under $20 and I'd say that's a pretty decent bargain.

Customer Review: Foam does not come out
Summary: 2 Stars

At first when I started applying the foam, it came out as thin lines and it took a lot of force. After less than a minute of using it, the foam does not come out of the applicator anymore. I had bought a larger can of the Heavy Traffic foam cleaner (thank goodness) and just sprayed it on the floor instead of using the applicator, and then used the brush to brush it in (which by the way works well, much better than using a hand brush and having to be on your hands and knees scrubbing). I was very disappointed. I had even tried putting the larger can on the applicator stick but that made no difference, the foam did not want to come out.

Customer Review: Great Product!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is the first time that I've ever written a review about anything, listen...I had a big brown stain on my carpet for months, from what? I do not know..I was so upset because it is a new carpet... anyway, I tried EVERYTHING and every product. I saw this advertised and thought well it can't hurt to try it..it was inexpensive enough. Yesterday, I used it and didn't have much hope UNTIL it dried and I couldn't believe my eyes...the stain was GONE!!! My cleaning crew was here this morning (they tried also) and they can't believe it either. So, whatever the case may be..,this product worked for me hands down!

Customer Review: How did it get the Good Housekeeping Promise?
Summary: 1 Stars

A complete waste of money. I have no idea how this could have received the Good Housekeeping promise. I called the number on the box for questions or comments(customer service, if you can call it that) to inquire about a refund. I was told that since I bought it at a supermarket and not their website, I would not be able to receive one. I thought it might work since it had the Good Housekeeping Promise seal and it was a small high traffic area that I needed to clean. Not only did it NOT work, the fumes are very irritating. I will stick with renting a Rug Doctor machine that always does a great job.
