Rug Stick is very effective at getting deep down into your pockets and taking your money. This product is worthless. The actual 'stick' was designed for somebody five feet or under. I have a backache from stooping to use the thing. Also the 'stick' is made of flimsy metal that bent almost immediately when I tried to get the foam to come out, and then bent again when I started scrubbing. I had to coax that foam out, as it seemed to not want to come out easily, or in much quantity. Finally, after all was said and done, the carpet didn't look any better when I was done.Customer Review: I like the rug stick

I coveted the Rug Stick after seeing the commercial and kept waiting for it to show up on shelves. Finally I just orderer it from Amazon. The product works best for spot cleaning. It is perfect for when my cat throws up and I can clean it up right away, with my cat watching suspiciously from a short distance. I also use it in combination with my Bissell #14007 Little Green Port Cleaner. First, I Rug Stick then I use the Green Machine to clean up the Woolite detergent.Customer Review: DO NOT BUY

Completely useless.
The stick is flimsy, and you have to apply alot of force to get the foam to come out.
The foam doesn't clean at all, adds chemical smell and nothing else.
It says on the box that multiple applications are required with at least two hours of drying time in between.
Do you have 12 hours to devote to your carpet?
The cost of this product + the time you will have to invest is rediculous compared to the 30-40$ you could pay a pro to steam clean everything....

I saw the tv commercial, too, and thought this would be ideal for smaller soiled areas instead of my upright carpet cleaner. Easy to put together and the instructions are clear. Sadly the 9oz can of cleaner didn't last long. It cleans about the same as any carpet spot cleaner and is useful for fresh, easy stains. The cleanser has a lovely, fresh scent that's a real plus. It doesn't work well on grease or set-in stains. I'll keep it for quick clean-ups when I don't have time or want to waste a full tank with my upright carpet cleaner.Customer Review: I Don't bother with this item.

If I could give this item a zero I would. I purchased it to clean by my mothers bed , she drags her feet so beside her bed she has tracks where the dirt from outside is on the carpet. Tried to clean with this product didn't work tried , waited again opened a new can of cleaner nothing again. Had to get out the big steam cleaner which I had hope to avoid using. and it cleaned it up.$19.99 and almost $6.00 for an additional can of the spray for a product was quite expensive. I really hoped it would work.
