Tools and Hardware Reviews of Black & Decker CHV1568 15.6 -Volt Cyclonic-Action Cordless DustBuster with AccuREACHCustomer Review: Awful!!! Summary: 1 Stars
I have to add my voice to the "don't waste your money" side of these reviews. I didn't start using this unit until it was too late to return it, or I would have. I was immediately disappointed when it took an unusual amount of force to even turn it on. Daily use of this vac would result in "carpal thumb syndrome"... I was looking for another CHV9600 ( a 9v model that works GREAT!) to add to my "vac army", but it was no longer available here so I settled for this unit. I will look futher to find another 9600 but this thing, come spring, will be in the garage sale bin!!
Customer Review: not sure... Summary: 4 Stars
what all the complaints are about. I almost DIDN't buy this because of all the negative posts... glad I did. I find nothing wrong with this vacuum and everything right... its fantastic and ten times stronger than my previous DB... battery life is longer too... so point being, you never know who hires who to come to these sites and post trash about a competitors product... be smart, look for plain, realistic type language and read the specs... this ones a keeper in my book... and no i dont work for B&D... i'm a clothing designer in nyc with a messy apt... cheers!
Customer Review: Fabulous! Summary: 5 Stars
This is GREAT! I got it on sale and I didn't even realize it had the extra attachments. It sucks everything in it's path, the filter 'declogger' works good - when you need it, I've used the extender, but only to reach tight spots, otherwise it sucks so good you don't need it. The filter was easy to clean, I tossed it in the dishwasher (because my husband cleaned up a bunch of spilled granulated garlic and I figured if it got ruined I was going to have to replace it anyway). I'm very happy and can't wait for another sale so I can get a second for the upstairs!
Customer Review: Works Perfectly For Us Summary: 4 Stars
I've only had this for a few weeks but it's working exactly as we hoped it would. The suction is great, we have no problems with it holding a charge for as long as we need to use it and it's easy to empty when we're taking out the trash. I'm not sure how the people who've experienced problems are using it, but we use it to pick up dry stuff - primarily the cat sand that's thrown from the cat boxes and the dog food that gets scattered around the dog bowl. I see no signs of the filter clogging or having any other issues so far...
Customer Review: Need a locking extending nozzle Summary: 3 Stars
I bought this to replace a previous dustbuster that lost battery power. Unfortunately the old model is no longer made. I like the idea of the extending nozzle, but as it does not lock in place it just pushes back in when you use it. The old model had an extending nozzle attachment that stored in machine body. Not as convenient, but when clipped on it stayed in place. B&D clearly tried some new ideas but not well executed. If not in immediate need, I would wait until next model corrects the design flaws.
