Customer Review: Just What I Needed!

This hand vacuum was recently purchased to replace a 12 year old Dust Buster. I had thought about replaceing the battery of the older unit, but for just a few dollars more, I decided to get this new, more powerful unit.
I have only had the previous Dust Buster to compare this to, so there is not a lot of depth in my references. Having said that, this model does just what I need it to do!
What I like:
1) It was easy to set up on the wall. I am fairly handy, so things like that are never a problem for me.
2) Easy to use, especially when it comes to emptying the dust bin.
3) The dust bin is see-through, durable plastic. It makes it easy to see when the unit needs to be emptied.
4) The extendable nozzle ("AccuReach", they call it) really makes it easy to get into those hard to reach places (like between the cat's litter box and the wall) and it does lock in place.
5) There is plenty of power for everything I would use this type of unit for. It will not replace a regualr vacuum for the heavier work.
6) Loud, but not too loud. It is quieter, in fact than the vacuum it replaced.
7) The red charging light let's you know that you have placed the unit in the charger properly.
8) The unit is wieghted so as to make it easy to maneuver, and the handle is comfy.
9) The filter is easy to remove and clean. I bought a replacement, so that while the first filter is drying out after cleaning, I can snap in the replacement and keep cleaning.
10) There is a snap-on "upholstery brush" with a small nook on the back of the vacuum to store it when not in use. The brush makes it easier to clean things like the doormat or the mat outside of the cat's litter box.
Dislikes:
1) Like my previous unit, the exhaust is downward facing, so that it can blow up dust in your face while attempting to clean in tighter areas. I am not sure where the optimal placement of the exhaust would be, but this was an oversight. I may tape some cardboard over the exhaust, so that it is facing back, not down.
2) The "Accureach" extending nozzle is too easy to collapse while in use, it needs to be sharply "snapped" into place by the user.
3) I wish it came standard with a HEPA filter.
4) The upholstery brush is not always easy to snap back into it's storage nook after use. It takes a little practice.
Overall, I am very pleased with this unit and would recommend it to others. It does just what a light duty hand vac should do and it seems to be well made and should last me as long as the previous vacuum.
