On impulse, I took apart our Dustbuster to clean it up. The filter was *way* past its prime--completely gunked up and not looking much better after some intensive cleaning/brushing. So I went on amazon, found the replacement part I needed, ordered it with amazon prime, and 2 days later put in the new filter. Amazing! I had forgotten how much power our Dustbuster actually had! Our Dustbuster is mainly used by the kids, about a once a week, since it's easier for them than the vacuum, and now it's so much quicker and more effective. While this filter says it is for Cyclonic Action Dustbusters, it does not fit the Black & Decker Pet Vac Cyclonic Dustbuster. YOu will need HVF91 replacement filter for that. This one looked like the right one, and since it says it is for the Cyclonic Action Dustbuster, I ordered it as well as the Hvf91 filter - which did NOT look like the right one, but apparently the replacement filter is different than original. it fits and works just fine. So....while the VF100 filter is probably just fine, be careful not to assume it will work with the Pet Vac.Customer Review: Works like a charm

With kids my dustbuster gets constant use
and it definitely improved the power of the
dustbuster, cheerios get swept up alot faster now
and it saves me a few extra minutes. I don't have to
keep going over the same spot to pick them up. Replacing
filters keep everything running smooth, I've also replaced
my vacuum ones and don't forget the ones in your home heating/ac
system, everything requires maintenance....even the dustbuster....but
this filter does the trick....

Agree with sifelaver, why is this paired with the CHV9608 Dustbuster? I mistakenly bought this filter along with the CHV9608 and it does not fit. Crucial vacuum states it works with all "cyclonic action" dustbusters. Well, it doesn't. I'm out $8 as well. Again the correct filter is the Black and Decker VF96. It looks like a great filter and I wish it fit my dustbuster as it is probably better than the standard filters that come with the vacuum. Now that Black and Decker has changed the style of its hand vacs, it is becoming more difficult to find the filters for the older models. This filter can be found here online or you can go to Wal-mart and get the generic arm & hammer filters. They both fit well and you can continue to use our old vac. Although, I have to say the new cyclone vacs are better (ergonomic, retains battery charge longer, picks up everything, and easier to clean the chamber afterwards).
