A sink is a sink. It's all about what you think looks nice. This is perfect for our granite counter and other appliances in the kitchen. I got one for free that had been returned to the company that cut and installed my granite counters, unfortunately it cracked when a large pot of boiling hot water was poured into it while making pasta. I do not know if it was the hot water, hairline crack from improper installation or handling but it broke.
We loved the looks of the sink enough to get a new one and will not repeat the hot water treatment. I installed the sink myself and the packaging was excellent so I think the sink will last longer than I will. The old sink lost it's luster from the lousy water but a little wipe with mineral oil every few weeks keeps a nice "shiny new" appearance.
I'm not sure, but I think they are made in Canada; that's fine with me as I was too.
