Customer Review: Old designs far safer

This design is an accident waiting to happen. It is an example of what happens when government bureaucracy manages public safety. Since getting this container, I've spilled more gas in less than a year than I did in 40 years previous. The old goose-neck cans are much safer as you can see the level to stop pouring. This design depends on stopping vent air when filler tip is immersed in a semi-filled tank. Were the can rigid, in principle it could work, however in a soft-sided plastic container, the sides suck in when the nozzle can't get air and then burps to dump gas all over the mower, shoes, pants, the ground all just waiting for a spark to either badly burn or kill someone. I strongly recommend against purchasing this or any similarly designed can. I only wish that cans designed by common-sense were still available.
