first of all, i read all the reviews, and made the decision to buy. well it is an awesome generator, i use it to power my studio strobes for photography! it starts very easy, i did like one other buyer did, put the fuel in it, ran it about 10-15 minutes. then shut it off, and let cool for about an hour. then i went and took some photos of my son doing rail slides on his bmx bike, the thing started on the first pull. i try to start it about 1-2 times a week, so the gas doesn't clog. the thing starts on the first or second pull everytime! and Homier Distributing did a great job, i got it in a few days! thanks!! i couldn't be any happier, well unless they included a hot blonde!! that had her own credit cards!

For $100, this generator really gets it done. We live in an area that is under heavy development and have 4 - 8 hour electric outages every couple of months. Rather than being seriously inconvenienced, we can watch TV, listen to music, have lights on, etc. It won't run the refrigerator but its great for the little conveniences in life. We may get the 4000 W model if the outages continue. It also starts very easily - in only a couple of pulls.
I would have given it 5 stars, but we also experience minor shipping damage. There wasn't a lot of packaging material and one of the feet broke off when we took it out of the box. We glued it back on and everything was fine.

I bought 2 generators from internet shopping recently one from Amazon.com.
The deal seems good to me but not when you actually received it .
First one was came with broken bottom supporter.
Second one came with broken fuel tank.
I had tried to exchange it but failed Amazon.com says I will find customer service button on return policy page. I tried many time to look for the button I could not find.
I do strongly recommand not to purchase from Amazon.com generators.
It is worth to visit store near you.

Well, I may send this back before I even try it. The packing was so cheap it was falling out of the bottom of the box. Even the UPS driver said it was cheap packing. I accepted it but the box was totally smashed up. The inside box had the bottom faling out too. I was hoping I would be a "Lucky One" and not get a poorly packed and shipped box, but no such luck.
I guess if it works it will be worth it, but after I unpacked it the wires look like they are popping out the back from the front plastic panel(it isnt even sealed correctly).
I will report back once I use it(or if I just send it back).

I, too, thought that at this price, what could I lose. It should at least provide adequate service for three or four outings per year. WRONG!!! I was able to start it and let it run for five minutes soon after I got it, just to make sure it worked. IT HASN'T STARTED SINCE. It is getting fire from the spark plug and getting gas, but nothing. It only has a ninety (90) day warranty, so check it out quickly, and then the shipping is a third of the original price. Bottom line: DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! Spend another $200 and get a Sears or some other reputable maker....at least you can return them to your local dealer.
