These compact 33 hinges are terrible. I'm in the process of replacing dozens of them that were originally installed on my kitchen and bath cabinets. The problem is that the closing spring pressure is applied via a plastic part that tends to break, and then your cabinet doors stand open instead of closing.
The 38N / 39C models are much more robust, with a metal spring, and they are a direct replacement - no drilling new holes.
