Customer Review: Use freight charge to choose supplier

I just purchased 15 of these Blumotion hinge adaptors and expect them to be a very good product. They should reduce the banging kitchen cabinet sound being transmitted through the wall to the adjacent room.
It's rated 1 star because of freight cost from one supplier. I used the "1-Click" purchase option so didn't see the total freight charge. The freight charge for 15 items shipped in one package (a $63 purchase) was $75; yes, $5 per item even though they were sent in one package. That totalled $138 for the 15 items. When contacted, before shipment, the supplier would not refund the purchase so I was stuck with the high cost.
Check out another supplier, like Midwest Cabinet, who has reasonable freight for this specific item, allowing the total cost, delivered, for the 15 hinge adaptors to be $79 rather than $138.

I had new cabinets put in about a 2 years ago, and should have had soft closing hinges put in then... My mistake. I wasn't sure if I could just adapt mine until I was at my manager's house. He had something very similar (possibly the same) just installed on his new cabinets.
After seeing that, I looked on Amazon and found these.
They are fantastic! They were incredibly easy to install, work very well, and I have no complaints.
One thing I did find is that on 2 of my cabinets, the depth inside was too short, and these wouldn't fit. These were 2 corner cabinets that were just really small triangles, and I had barely an inch behind the hinge... with these you need about 3-4 inches... oh well. They are still great!
Would definitely (and already have) recommend these to a friend.

I bought 30 of them, and installed them into every door I could reach. Only 1 set of doors now creaks when closing, and I think it's due to the old door hinges being loose, even though I tried to tighten them. This is a very well-thought out product. You may want to try looking at woodworkers hardware for bulk purchases, since it's more competitive. I only wish the drawer slides were so inexpensive and easy to retrofit! Anyone know a good place to buy those?
My drill must be a smaller diameter one (cheap ryobi from HD), since I was just able to make the pilot hole in the right spot without getting a flexible bit(?) for the drill. It helped things TREMENDOUSLY! Don't hesitate...these things are fantastic!

I ordered a couple to try them out. After skeptically installing them I must admit they performed well. No more slammed doors or load noise when the doors close. Push the door and let it go, it will do the rest! The are engagemnet is adjustable. They are fairly easy to install and aren't as unsightly as I thought they would be. My only issue was trying to drill a pilot hole that was not on angle due to the tight corner. You should try to drill level if you can. Be advised screws are not included. Since the kitchen personnel(wife) likes it I will do the rest of the doors. Its a nice upgrade! Product gets 5 stars, installation 4 stars since the hole is not angled.Customer Review: Great product. After renovating our kitchen and installing all new cabinets with soft-close drawers, I priced these out at my local cabinet supplier. They were $7.50/each so I was going to bag it, but then I found them here for significantly less so I ordered them and I'm glad I did. They're a snap to install and completely adjustable. It's a really nice feature in our new kitchen. We have a 4 month old at home and soft-closing cabinets don't wake sleeping baby... :-) Don't need them for ALL of the cabinet doors, just the ones you use the most...
